College Master(Ref. No.: RC/CM/05/2026) The University of Macau (UM) is an internationalized research-oriented comprehensive public university in the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) located at the west bank of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The GBA is rapidly developing into one of the leading technology and innovation hubs of the world. UM is placed No. 145 in the THE World University Rankings and placed No. 285 in the QS World University Rankings. In addition, UM is currently establishing a campus in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, which is expected to be operational in 2028. The Residential College systemThe Residential College (RC) system is a comprehensive community-based educational platform that embodies the University’s 4-in-1 education model and student-centered philosophy of whole-person education. UM’s RC system provides students with an experiential curriculum of residential college education designed to promote whole-person education, enabling them to position themselves as individuals with firm roots in Macao, while at the same time being committed to participating in the development of the Greater Bay Area, as well as integrating themselves into national development while reaching out to the world. Living with the students in a residential college, the College Master will implement the UM’s model of RC education. The College MasterIn alignment with UM’s Residential College education model, the College Master provides leadership to an individual college in advancing its mission as a dynamic academic and social community dedicated to residential college education and the whole‑person development of students. Reporting to the Vice Rector (Student Affairs), the College Master is responsible for overseeing the effective implementation of the five educational measures within the college, with the objective of cultivating and enhancing students’ designated learning competencies. The College Master works closely with the Associate Master and Resident Fellows in planning, coordinating, and delivering educational activities/programmes in accordance with UM’s Residential College education framework and the University’s strategic direction. The College Master also provides administrative leadership to the college office and supervises college staff to ensure the efficient operation of the Residential College. While English is the working language of the appointment, successful applicants must be able to function comfortably and effectively in a linguistically diverse environment in which the majority of staff and students are Chinese speakers using Cantonese and/or Mandarin. The College Master is normally a senior scholar in his or her field of specialisation and may continue to engage in teaching and research activities. Where appropriate, the appointee may be considered for concurrent affiliation with an academic unit. The initial appointment will be for a term of up to three years, with renewal subject to mutual agreement. In particular, the candidates should have the following credentials:
An earned doctoral degree, preferably obtained from a reputable university;Candidates at the rank of Full Professor with well‑balanced experience in teaching, research, and service; or candidates with at least ten years of distinguished professional experience relevant to residential college or collegiate education comparable to UM’s Residential College model;Demonstrated experience in student services, with a strong commitment to and advocacy for holistic, whole‑person education;Proven administrative and management experience in a higher education institution;A strong record of publications or scholarly contributions in the area of residential college or collegiate education is highly desirable;Recognised standing and social influence within local and/or regional communities is highly desirable. RemunerationA taxable annual remuneration ranging from MOP1,250,200 to MOP1,447,600 (approximately USD154,350 to USD178,720) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Apart from competitive remuneration, UM offers a wide range of benefits, such as medical insurance, provident fund and other subsidies. Provide clinical assistance to dental students and OHCWA clinical staff during patient treatment

About you
Completion of Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dental Clinic Assisting or equivalent.
Current knowledge of dental assisting procedures and experience in dental assistance within public dental or teaching facilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
Note: A current first aid certificate and working with children check will be required by the successful applicant.
