    About This Opportunity

    The Academic Services Division (ASD) is offering an exciting internal opportunity to join a structured, capability-driven development program designed to build the next generation of administrative professionals at UQ.

    You'll develop a strong foundation in student services, university systems, operational processes and customer-focused administration while supporting a diverse range of student enquiries. Through a supported development pathway, you'll strengthen your technical capability, expand your knowledge of student and academic administration, and play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences to the UQ community.

    This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to broaden their skills, take the next step in their career, and make a meaningful contribution to the student experience at UQ.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Delivering exceptional customer service and support to students and stakeholders.

    • Responding to student enquiries and providing accurate advice on UQ policies, procedures and processes.

    • Processing student-related applications, requests and transactions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Providing administrative support across a range of Academic Services Division functions.

    • Applying University systems, policies and procedures to deliver efficient and effective student services.

    • Building collaborative relationships with academic and professional staff across UQ.

    This is a full-time, continuing role at HEW Level 4.

    About You

    We are seeking a motivated, organised and versatile colleague who is eager to learn, adaptable to change, and committed to providing excellent service in a busy student and academic administration environment.

    • A relevant degree or associate diploma with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters.

    • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Digital confidence, including Microsoft applications and the ability to rapidly learn systems such as SI-net, Business Objects, UniFi, Unitask, CRM and TRIM.

    • A genuine customer service mindset and confidence supporting high-volume enquiries and administrative processes.

    • Initiative, agility and openness to change, with a clear desire to learn, grow and develop new skills.
