We are seeking a customer-focused Client Services Officer to deliver high-quality support and advice to current and prospective students, staff and community members. As a key member of the Student Services team, this role plays an important part in creating positive experiences by providing accurate information, responding to enquiries and ensuring every interaction reflects JCU's commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Full-time, 12 month fixed-term opportunity | 36.25 hours per week
- Located at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas
- HEWL 5: $78,740 - $89,310 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Client Services Officer, you will play an important role in enhancing the student experience by delivering high-quality customer service and timely support to current and prospective students, staff and community members. As a key point of contact for the University, you will provide accurate information and advice across a broad range of student services, including admissions, enrolment, scholarships, student fees, alternate entry pathways, examinations, academic progression, graduation, academic transcripts, identification cards and general administrative enquiries.
Working within a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, you will contribute to the delivery of professional, responsive and student-centred services, while maintaining accurate records, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping ensure JCU remains recognised for service excellence.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE
Success in this role will be supported by a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage a high volume of enquiries while providing accurate information, sound advice and exceptional support. Experience working with policies, procedures and business processes, together with the ability to quickly develop knowledge and confidently communicate information to others, will be highly valued.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills will enable effective management of competing priorities and deadlines within a dynamic environment, while excellent communication and interpersonal skills will support positive interactions with students, staff and community members from diverse backgrounds.
A high level of attention to detail, discretion and professionalism, combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies, will contribute to success as part of a collaborative and high-performing team.
