    Job Description:

    • Employment Type: Full Time; 35 hours per week
    • Duration: Fixed term up until 30 June 2027
    • Remuneration: Professional Level 6 $108,021 + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading
    • Location: Sydney, New South Wales. Occasional travel to clinical sites may be required.
    • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold unrestricted work rights to be considered for this position.

    Position Summary

    The Implementation Officer will support the delivery of the Youth Integration Project (YIP), a collaborative initiative between the Mindgardens Neuroscience Network and the UNSW Population Child Health Clinical Research Group aimed at strengthening integration across youth mental health services in NSW. The role will contribute to translational research and the implementation of innovative models of care that improve access, service integration, and mental health outcomes for children and young people.

    Working across the research team, Mindgardens, Local Health Districts and headspace services, the Implementation Officer will coordinate day-to-day implementation activities, engage with clinicians, service partners, young people and families, and support the co-design, delivery and evaluation of youth mental health initiatives. The role also involves coordinating research activities, managing implementation and research data, undertaking qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and supporting the dissemination of research findings to inform policy, practice and future service improvement.

    Some Key Skills Required:

    • A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, youth mental health, or related fields), or an equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or professional accreditation.
    • Understanding or experience in youth mental health service delivery.
    • Knowledge of research protocols, experimental design and planning as involved in developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
    • Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication skills to initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships whilst exercising discretion and confidentiality.
    • Experience conducting research and/or working clinically with mental health clinicians, young people, families, and/or mental health service users is highly desirable.
