- Base salary range: $99,040 – $104,668 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The UWA Medical School is the largest and longest established medical school in Western Australia. It delivers a 4-year post-graduate MD course to local, national and international students. The School also has substantial and successful research programs across the spectrum of health and medical research.
The Centre for Neuromuscular and Neurological Disorders is a world leader in developing innovative treatments for disorders of the brain and body. As part of the Centre, the Perron Institute lead groundbreaking, independent research and clinical interventions to support, treat and collaborate with consumers.
Within this context you will work and manage research activities within a Wellcome-Trust funded innovative project, Hypatia. Hypatia is a digital platform for computational phenotyping in industry and clinical environments; we are finalists for the 35th Incite Awards in WA. Hypatia is built and comprised of a highly motivated team of engineers, scientists, and designers. You will work and train within this dynamic environment, enjoying experience in both industry-adjacent, clinical, and scientific fields.
About the opportunity
- Provide administrative and operational support to research and project activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and timelines.
- Assist in the coordination of project activities, including tracking progress against agreed milestones and reporting issues to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate project records, databases, and filing systems, including use of digital and AI-assisted tools where appropriate.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative, project support, or research support role within a university, research institute, or similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks and activities, including meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities within established frameworks.
- Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare standard reports, correspondence, and meeting documentation.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders at a range of levels.
