Job Description:

- Full-time, continuing position | 36.25 hours per week
- Located in Townsville’s Bebegu Yumba campus
- HEWL 8: $111,960 - $128,567 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
You are an experienced business improvement professional with a proven ability to lead complex improvement initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes. Comfortable working autonomously and influencing stakeholders at all levels, you excel at analysing challenges, identifying opportunities, and implementing practical solutions that improve processes, services, and organisational performance.
You will bring advanced expertise in business process improvement, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, change implementation, and problem-solving, along with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Importantly, you will understand how emerging technologies, including AI, automation, workflow tools, and digital platforms, can be leveraged to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and support organisational transformation.
With strong analytical capability, sound judgement, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will play a key role in delivering sustainable change and future-focused outcomes across the University.
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
- Deliver meaningful business improvement initiatives through process analysis, optimisation, automation, and service enhancement opportunities across the University.
- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to scope, plan, and implement projects that support strategic and operational objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and engagement activities to identify requirements, assess business processes, and promote best practice service delivery.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, process maps, quality frameworks, and communication resources that support consistency and operational effectiveness.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on continuous improvement methodologies, change management approaches, and improvement strategies.
- Strengthen organisational capability by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Enable evidence-based decision-making through data analysis, benchmarking, reporting, and transparent communication of outcomes.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by identifying and leveraging technology solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
