The Opportunity

- Full-time (35 hrs week) | 12-month fixed term contract
- $118,483 + $128,233 + 17% super
The UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship Scheme supports UNSW’s strategy Progress for All by developing globally focused, socially engaged researchers and enabling impactful research with embedded global mobility opportunities.
The Scheme currently consists of two streams; however, the structure and funding opportunities may change over time:
New Domestic Scholarships
Support the recruitment of high-quality domestic applicants undertaking supervisor-defined PhD projects.
Global Mobility Grant
Provide one-off grants of up to $20,000 for current PhD candidates to undertake global mobility opportunities.
You will report to the Manager, HDR Engagement, and support the Associate Director of the Graduate Research School, to provide program management, reporting and analytical support. You’ll also develop communications, build key internal and external relationships, and contribute to the development of future programs.

About You
A relevant tertiary qualification, together with relevant experience or equivalent capability gained through education, training and experience, is required. The role requires excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and tailor communications for a wide range of stakeholders, including academics, applicants and enrolled PhD candidates.
Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills are essential, including the ability to work with large volumes of data and produce accurate reports. The successful candidate will learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership of projects, while working effectively with people at all levels and using a range of systems and applications, including Microsoft Office and university student systems.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate time management, sound judgement and initiative to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines, along with proven experience in program planning and review, including the development of project documentation and the improvement of processes and outcomes.
