About This Opportunity
As an Advisor, HR Advisory (internally known as Advisor, AskHR), you will play a pivotal role in delivering responsive, consistent and high-quality HR advice to a diverse client group. Working within a collaborative and purpose-driven People Services environment, you will contribute to a service model that enables staff and leaders to thrive, supporting UQ’s commitment to creating change together through excellent people practices.
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering timely, clear and accurate HR advice across a broad range of matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and frameworks.
Supporting operational HR service delivery, including contributing to HR initiatives and projects aligned to strategic priorities.
Acting as a trusted adviser to stakeholders, providing expert guidance on recruitment, performance management, case management, employee relations and policy interpretation.
Building strong relationships across HR and client groups to support seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.
About You
Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
Demonstrated experience providing end-to-end HR policy advice and administrative support across multiple HR processes within established frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive HR matters.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders in a professional advisory environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver clear and practical advice.
Experience working within complex organisational structures or policy-driven environments.
A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
