    • Base salary will be in the range $85, 451.97 - $94, 983.84 + 17% super (HEW Level 5) 

    • Based at our St Lucia location

    About This Opportunity  

    As a HR Officer, HR Advisory, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering responsive, consistent and high-quality HR advice to a diverse client group. Working within a collaborative and purpose-driven People Services environment, you will contribute to a service model that enables staff and leaders to thrive, supporting UQ’s commitment to creating change together through excellent people practices.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing HR advice and guidance on routine matters (e.g. appointments, contract variations, recruitment, leave, and basic performance and case management), in line with established policies and procedures

    • Supporting management of the HR Advisory queue, including triaging and escalation of enquiries

    • Assisting with the delivery of day-to-day HR services and contributing to HR initiatives

    • Maintaining and enhancing HR knowledge resources, including user guides and support materials

    • Supporting the collection of client feedback to inform service improvement

    • Building effective working relationships and collaborating across HR teams

    About You   

    • We anticipate this opportunity would suit students in the later stages of their HR studies with a strong interest in pursuing a career in HR.

    • Demonstrated experience providing end-to-end HR policy advice and administrative support across multiple HR processes within established frameworks.

    • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders in a professional advisory environment.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver clear and practical advice.

    • Demonstrated ability to apply a structured problem solving approach and good judgement to analyse, manage and resolve a diverse range of enquiries in alignment with relevant policies, procedures and the enterprise agreement

    • Experience working with enterprise technology and software solutions and systems, utilising multiple user modules for the submission of a diverse range of data and information sets

    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in using the Microsoft Office products – Windows, Excel and Word
