    About the Role

    The Finance Process Lead is a senior role within the Business Optimisation Strategy (BOS) Program, responsible for designing end-to-end Finance processes that support ERP-enabled transformation, enterprise-wide standardisation and sustainable service improvement. Reporting to the Finance SME/Business Lead, the role partners with business, program and technology teams to deliver future-state process designs that are efficient, scalable, compliant and aligned with BOS and UNSW strategic objectives.

    Leveraging deep expertise in Finance operations, ERP and process design, the role analyses current-state processes, develops practical future-state solutions, and supports benefits realisation, transition to business-as-usual and enterprise-wide improvements. The Finance Process Lead also provides clear recommendations and design artefacts to support informed decision-making and successful program delivery, while providing day-to-day direction to Business Analysts (dotted line).

    Multiple Finance Process Lead opportunities are available across several process streams. Applications will be considered for all streams, and candidates do not need to nominate a preferred area. Current focus areas include:

    • Process Lead – Acquire to Retire (A2R)
    • Process Lead – Order to Cash (O2C)
    • Process Lead – Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)/Planning

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the end-to-end design and standardisation of Finance processes across assigned domains, supporting Oracle Fusion ERP implementation and enterprise transformation.
    • Drive the transition from legacy platforms (e.g. PeopleSoft) to Oracle Fusion Cloud, translating business requirements into scalable, compliant and efficient ERP-enabled processes.
    • Design future-state Finance operating models, controls, approval workflows and delegations aligned with business architecture, governance and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide strategic Finance and Oracle ERP expertise to inform program decisions, process design, implementation planning and achievement of BOS outcomes.
    • Partner with business, technology and program teams to identify cross-functional dependencies, ensure process integration and support successful ERP delivery.
    • Prepare and present process designs, risks, impacts and recommendations to governance forums, supporting informed enterprise-wide decision-making.
    • Build stakeholder alignment and drive adoption of new Finance processes through effective engagement, communication and collaboration with change and business teams.
    • Lead and mentor Business Analysts (dotted line), ensuring delivery aligns with UNSW governance, program standards and organisational values.

    About You

    • Extensive experience (10+ years) leading enterprise-wide Finance transformation programs, with significant experience delivering Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementations (or equivalent cloud ERP), including migration from legacy platforms such as PeopleSoft.
    • Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end Finance process design, optimisation and standardisation across one or more domains (e.g. A2R, O2C, S2P, R2R/Reporting or Planning), with an understanding of cross-functional impacts.
    • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, ERP-enabled process solutions, with knowledge of Finance data, integrations, controls and enterprise architecture.
    • Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation programs, navigating governance, dependencies, risks and competing priorities to achieve successful outcomes.
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus and provide trusted advice to senior business and technology leaders.
    • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic decisions in complex, ambiguous environments.
    • Experience supporting organisational change, embedding new operating models and driving adoption of new Finance processes and ways of working.
