About This Opportunity
Join our International Administration team and play a key role in delivering high-quality student and academic administration services. In this rewarding position, you will provide professional advice and support to students and staff while contributing to the smooth operation of key academic processes across the Faculty. Our goal is to create a positive experience for our diverse community.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide administrative support across student lifecycle processes, including admissions, credit, progression, graduation and cross-institutional study.
Deliver accurate and professional advice to students and staff via email, phone and consultations.
Support the Associate Dean (Academic) and Manager, Student and Academic Administration on a range of academic administration matters.
Maintain student records and update University systems to ensure accurate and current information.
Liaise with Faculties, Schools and central administration on policies, procedures and student-related matters.
Process documentation, prepare correspondence, and contribute to government reporting and compliance requirements.
Assist with reports, projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and service delivery.
Support student engagement and recruitment activities, including orientation, UQ Open Day, TSXPO, and other Faculty initiatives.
About You
An undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise competing work demands in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of student administration, both domestic and international, undergraduate, and postgraduate, including admissions, enrolments, examinations, and graduation.
Problem solving skills using judgement and reasoning in interpreting situations and providing accurate and consistent advice, particularly in relation to policies and procedures.
Proficiency at an advanced level using student administration systems, computer software packages for word-processing and spreadsheets.
Commitment to and enthusiasm for the provision of excellent client service.
Ability to operate flexible across the range of functions within the Faculty Office and to work as a member of a team.
