    • Full Time (35 hours per week)
    • $118,483 - $128,233 + 17% super

    Why Your Role Matters:

    The Biological Resources Imaging Lab (BRIL), part of the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre (MWAC) operates several research support facilities including Pre-Clinical Imaging, Flow Cytometry, Biospecimen & Cold storage services, Radiochemistry & Grainne Moran Research Laboratories.

    As the Senior Project Officer, you will be the central coordination point across a portfolio of strategic initiatives relating to research infrastructure planning, space utilisation, adoption of the Single Digital Patient Record for research applications at UNSW, agreements with NSW Health and Local Health Districts, and other initiatives supporting BRIL's operational objectives.

    Working closely with the BRIL Operations Manager, you'll coordinate project activities, facilitate communication across stakeholders and help ensure projects continue to progress. You'll monitor milestones, prepare project documentation, support decision-making and provide timely updates that enable projects to move forward effectively.

    About you:

    You have experience working in a research facility or technical environment, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, think strategically and solve problems. Experience working in a PC1 or PC2 laboratory environment will be highly regarded.

    You can also demonstrate:

    • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, with the ability to manage competing priorities and support successful project delivery.
    • Excellent organisational skills, with a proactive approach to monitoring progress, following up on actions and ensuring projects continue to move forward.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with researchers, clinicians, technical staff and external partners.
    • The ability to facilitate meetings, prepare project documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to identify risks, raise issues appropriately and contribute to practical solutions.
