    About This Opportunity

As a Teaching Focused Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding honours and postgraduate research students through one of the most defining stages of their academic journey.

    In a collaborative and intellectually curious environment, you will inspire students to ask bold questions, think critically, and transform ideas into impactful research outcomes, all while contributing to a culture that values innovation, integrity, and inclusion.


    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Mentor and supervise honours and postgraduate students across the full research lifecycle, including research design, methodology, analysis, and thesis development while fostering academic integrity and independent thinking.
    • Deliver high-quality learning experiences through lectures, tutorials, marking, and course coordination, contributing to engaging and inclusive curricula.
    • Monitor student progress, provide timely and actionable feedback, and support students to achieve realistic milestones and successful completion outcomes.
    • Contribute to a respectful, inclusive academic environment and participate in teaching team meetings, assessment panels, and broader School activities.

    About You 

    You will bring:

    • A PhD or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
    • An established record of teaching excellence across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels.
    • Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring student research projects to successful outcomes.
    • Strong knowledge of research methodologies, ethical conduct, and academic writing practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse student cohorts.
    • Experience in course coordination, curriculum development, and assessment design.
    • A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively within teaching teams and academic communities.
    • A professional profile that complements and enhances existing expertise within the School and University.
