Base salary will range from $79,096 - $83,863 (HEW Level 4) + 17% Superannuation
Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus
About This Opportunity
We are seeking a personable, highly motivated and organised Student and Academic Support Assistant to join the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences on a permanent basis.
Working within a high-performing Student and Academic Support Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional student experience. In this dynamic position, you will support both students and staff through friendly, responsive, accurate and high-quality administrative services, contributing to a culture that values teamwork, collegiality and outstanding service.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing front-of-house reception services including room bookings, equipment loans and mail management
Supporting student and academic administration processes, including application processing and enquiry triage
Maintaining office operations including supplies, data entry and general administrative support
Facilitating access to specialist school spaces and systems
Examination viewings and invigilation
Processing student applications for overseas professional registration
Supporting outreach and engagement activities such as UQ Expo and careers events
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess:
Completion of a diploma level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
Ability to work as part of a team, and a commitment to providing high level service.
Demonstrated ability to organise workflow to meet competing demands and deadlines.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and an empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
High level computing skills, preferably using Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, JAC, Unitask, Business Objects, and the use of CRM systems is desirable.
