About This Opportunity
Step into a pivotal role where clinical research meets meaningful impact. Based at the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer within UQ’s Centre for Clinical Research, this opportunity places you at the forefront of advancing care for women affected by gynaecological cancers. As Clinical Trial Manager, you will take ownership of complex, multi-centre clinical studies, guiding them from feasibility through to delivery while collaborating with an inquisitive and purpose-driven research team. Working closely with leading investigators and clinical partners across national and international networks, you will play a central role in shaping high-quality research outcomes that contribute to better patient care and global clinical practice.
In this dynamic and collaborative environment, you will:
Lead the coordination and operational delivery of multi-centre clinical trials, ensuring studies progress seamlessly from start-up through to completion
Develop and manage key study documentation, including ethics and governance submissions, protocols, and trial databases
Partner with investigators, research leaders and international trial sites to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive recruitment outcomes
Provide oversight and mentorship to research staff while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement and clear communication across all trial activities
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until July 2027 at HEW Level 7.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in a science or health-related discipline, with hands-on experience in clinical trial coordination or management
Proven ability to lead and deliver complex, multi-centre clinical studies, ideally within oncology or a related therapeutic area
Strong working knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and Australian regulatory and ethical frameworks governing clinical trials
Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a track record of managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes to a high standard
Advanced communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality research documentation and engage confidently with diverse stakeholders
A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to mentor junior staff and contribute positively to a high-performing, purpose-driven research team
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
