First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research team within the School of Public Health
Casual position with an hourly rate in the range of $55.36, plus superannuation of 12% (HEW Level 5)
Based at our Herston location
About This Opportunity
We are seeking casual Senior Research Assistants to support the First Nations Cancer & Wellbeing Research Program. The CanCo Study explores the cancer care experiences of First Nations peoples and their carers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Conducting telephone interviews with study participants
Coordinating and scheduling interviews respectfully and efficiently
Building rapport and maintaining culturally safe, ethical interactions
Accurately recording and managing research data
About You
Degree or diploma in public health, health services, or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience conducting qualitative interviews, ideally via telephone
Strong communication skills with a respectful, participant-centred approach
Highly organised with the ability to work independently
Sound judgement and initiative in a research environment
Understanding of confidentiality and ethical research practices
Experience in similar roles or qualitative research is highly regarded
