    About This Opportunity 

    We are seeking a motivated Indigenous graduate to be a Student and Academic Administration Officer with excellent time management skills. In this role you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to students and academic staff within the Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology Faculty (EAIT). As a key member of the Student Administration team, you will provide professional advice, efficient service, and accurate information across a wide range of student lifecycle activities – from admissions and enrolments through to graduation.     Key responsibilities will include: 

    • Provide timely and accurate information to students, staff and stakeholders in line with University policies and legislation.

    • Process student applications and documentation across admissions, progression, enrolment, graduation and exchange.

    • Prepare and deliver recommendations on student matters to support decision making.

    • Support the review and continuous improvement of procedures and processes.

    • Ensure the accuracy of information across University systems, websites and publications.

    • Provide administrative and secretarial support for meetings, committees and working groups.

    • Support the implementation and improvement of Student Administration workflows, processes and reporting.

    • Represent the University at engagement activities and undertake other duties as required.

    About You

    Essential

    • Completion of a bachelor’s degree within the last three years’ (degree must be awarded prior to commencing).

    • A sound understanding of administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration, or the ability to rapidly gain such knowledge.

    • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work.

    • High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

    • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the team and across other organisational units.

    • A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service.

    • An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.

    Desirable

    • Experience in a tertiary education institution or other large organisation in an area related to student administration would be highly regarded.

    • Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, and the use of CRM systems would be desirable.​
