As a Senior Data Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of strategy and insight, helping Macquarie University make evidence-based decisions that influence our long-term direction and performance.

Embedded within the Student Load Planning team, you will provide reporting, analysis, and insights across all aspects of student recruitment. You will design, develop, maintain and enhance a suite of dashboards while playing a pivotal part in delivering the University's load plan.

    • Subject matter expertise in analytics spanning data engineering, descriptive analytics, business intelligence, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.

    • Demonstrated experience with Alteryx, Python, R, SQL, AWS, and Power BI, plus knowledge of database management and systems thinking methods.

    • Experience curating and linking benchmark and external data to generate innovative insights and inform strategy.

    • Awareness of emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), and the ability to assess their application to business challenges.

    • Experience providing technical leadership for data and/or integration solutions within complex, multi-stakeholder, formalised project delivery environments, including cloud and hybrid on-premises configurations.

    • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information from numerous sources and balance competing priorities to meet deadlines.
