    • Full-time, fixed-term position through to May 2027.

    • Base salary will be in the range $83,776 - $93,121+ 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5).

    • Join a high performing team managing critical administration and workflows that directly support UQ's research lifecycle.

    • Use your corporate database and administration skills to maintain data integrity, support internal grant rounds, and optimise client focused workflows.

    • Based at our convenient UQ Toowong office located on 74 High St.

    About This Opportunity  

    Join our collaborative and high performing Research Office Operations team, where you will contribute to the delivery of critical administrative and operations processes that enable world class research at UQ. As a Research and Operations Administration Officer, you will support the full lifecycle of research grants in an agile and client focused environment, working across a variety of systems, stakeholders, and funding schemes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in ensuring data integrity, supporting governance activities, and enhancing research outcomes across the University.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the administration and continuous improvement of Research Office processes, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and the functional charter.

    • Assisting in the operational delivery of internal grant rounds and research lifecycle activities, including progress and final reporting.

    • Maintaining and updating digital platforms such as websites, SharePoint and MS Teams to ensure accurate and consistent information.

    • Performing precise data entry and compliance checks in research management systems to support reporting and business intelligence.

    About You

    You are a motivated and detail oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative and agile environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy. You will have:

    • Relevant qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience in administration or operations.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in corporate systems, data management, and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly spreadsheets and databases.

    • Strong communication and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret policies, procedures and guidelines.

    • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing tasks to meet deadlines.​
