    The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

    We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Specialist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students.  This role plays a crucial role in supporting our students' well-being and academic development, and success.  The role will be particularly focused on providing a single session approach, supporting triage, and responding to urgent requests. Our team works closely with other support services to provide a holistic and wrap-around support for students with additional needs.

    We are looking for an experienced clinician who may come from a youth, educational, statutory, or community setting and has a proven ability to provide professional therapy. AUT is keen to employ people who may contribute to the diversity of the university and are passionate about the well-being of tertiary learners.

    To be successful in this role, you will :

    • Be an experienced Mental Health professional with a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience post qualification providing therapeutic counselling and/ or mental health case management.
    • Tertiary qualification in a relevant health profession such as social work, counselling, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, or similar.
    • Current annual practising certificate.
    • A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

    Salary Ranges | Ngā Utu: $93,000 - $114,284 commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidates.
