Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
The Global Engagement team in Te Kahupapa ki Tai - International Office is seeking a Global Engagement Support Officer to join us on a fixed-term, part-time basis until December 2026.
Working closely with the Global Engagement team, you'll support the delivery of the Global Exchange programme and international engagement activities across the University.
Your work may include:
- Supporting students with enquiries about exchange and international opportunities.
- Assisting with programme administration and maintaining student records.
- Helping coordinate student communications and engagement activities.
- Supporting pre-departure, welcome, and other programme events.
- Assisting with promotional activities and communications.
- Contributing to special projects and initiatives that support global engagement across the University.
This position is 7.5 hours per week (one day per week), with opportunities for additional hours during busy periods and University breaks.

We're looking for someone who:
- Is currently enrolled at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
- Has completed an overseas exchange, study abroad programme, international internship, or other significant international experience.
- Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
- Has strong attention to detail and administrative skills.
- Enjoys working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
Additional language skills and experience in student leadership programmes or student ambassador roles would be an advantage.
