The Wellbeing Directorate oversees Counselling and Wellbeing services, supporting students with personal and academic matters that may impact their progress and overall development.
As the Counselling Clinical Intake Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students seeking support, providing initial assessment, triage and interim wellbeing responses. You will bring strong interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgement and the ability to engage sensitively with students experiencing a wide range of concerns. You will work closely with our student counsellors, wellbeing staff and other student‑support teams to ensure students receive timely, appropriate and compassionate assistance.

Position Requirements
- Experience in supporting individuals with mental health concerns and understanding equity, social justice and cultural diversity.
- Demonstrated experience conducting first‑response interviews, assessing presenting issues, and managing a structured student intake and triage process.
- Proven ability to make timely, well‑reasoned decisions regarding interventions, referrals and appropriate support pathways.
- Proficient knowledge in the use of information systems, web browsers, email software, Microsoft software or similar and Customer Relationship systems.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and meet quality and time‑based objectives independently and within a team.
