    The role | Te mahi

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Administrator to join our Health Science First Year programme, where you will play a key role in supporting both staff and students. You’ll provide comprehensive administrative support across core operational areas, including:
    • coordinating assessment processes;
    • managing student communications;
    • monitoring attendance;
    • delivering professional front-desk services, and
    • supporting meetings.

    You will also contribute to maintaining and enhancing administrative systems through clear documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting part time opportunity to join a high-performing and dedicated team.

    You are a motivated self-starter with proven experience as a high-performing Administrator who is passionate about delivering excellent service to students, staff, and customers. You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine commitment to positive outcomes for all.

    Experience and skills needed are:
    • Proven experience working in a busy administrative environment.
    • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and navigate new systems quickly.
    • Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.

    Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality, operational management and administrative support services.     This is a part-time (18 hours per week), fixed term position until 26 November 2027 based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.

    The appointment range for this role is $63,508 to $68,185 per annum. Top of Range $73,640 (pro-rata)
