We are seeking a dynamic Program Coordinator, HDR Internships to support the delivery of CIEHF’s flagship Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Internship Program. In this role, you will play a critical part in connecting HDR students with meaningful internship opportunities across a national network of universities, Indigenous partner organisations, and other partners.
About the Role
As Program Coordinator, you will coordinate and enhance internship opportunities across eight university nodes and a diverse network of partners, ensuring HDR students gain valuable real-world experience aligned with their research.
You will:
- Coordinate internship opportunities and engagement activities across multiple university nodes
- Facilitate smooth delivery of student internships, including placement agreements and financial support processes
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver clear, timely communication to students, partners and university teams
- Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement through data and feedback
- Contribute to an outstanding participant experience through high-quality service delivery
You are an organised and proactive professional with a passion for student engagement and program delivery.
To succeed, you will demonstrate:
- Experience coordinating internships, placements or engagement programs across universities, industry, government or community sectors
- Strong administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining confidentiality
- Experience using data and reporting tools to inform improvements and decision-making
- The ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
Desirable:
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, communities and culturally appropriate engagement practices
