Base salary will be in the range $95,361 - $102,302 + 17% super (HEW Level 6)

About This Opportunity
As a Senior Officer, Cyber Security Governance, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation’s security posture by embedding robust governance, risk and compliance practices across a complex and evolving digital environment. Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of cyber security frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organisational priorities.
You will bring a proactive, detail-oriented approach, partnering with stakeholders to uplift cyber maturity, manage risk, and support informed decision-making across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of cyber security governance, policies and standards
Monitor, assess and report on cyber security risks, compliance obligations and control effectiveness
Coordinate governance activities including risk assessment, reviews and assurance processes
Engage with stakeholders to embed security best practice
About You
Demonstrated experience in cyber security governance, risk and compliance, ideally in a complex or enterprise environment
Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to assess risk, analyse controls and support governance processes and reporting
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across diverse teams
Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing reports, policies and governance documentation
High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a structured way
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical recommendations
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and organisational impact
