Base salary will be in the range $117,958 - $132,247 + 17% super (HEW Level 8)

About This Opportunity
Lead UQ’s Cyber Security Engagement team in a purposeful, collaborative role that helps shape a more secure and resilient university community. Working within Information Technology Services, you will guide the design, delivery and evaluation of engagement initiatives that strengthen cyber security culture and reduce human-related cyber risks across the University. Partnering with senior stakeholders and specialist cyber teams, you will identify opportunities, shape engagement strategies, and apply evidence-based behaviour change approaches to embed secure practices, helping the UQ community feel informed, empowered, and supported.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the planning, development and delivery of cyber security engagement initiatives tailored to diverse stakeholder groups across the University.
Managing and mentoring a small engagement team to deliver high-quality, measurable programs that reinforce secure behaviours over time.
Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand local environments, shape engagement strategies and strengthen cyber capability across teams.
Evaluating behavioural impact, using data and evidence-based behaviour-change approaches to refine initiatives and maintain consistent, relevant messaging across cyber security activities.
About You
Qualifications and training equivalent to a postgraduate degree in change management, communication, marketing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training.
Proven experience designing, delivering and evaluating programs that drive measurable and sustained behavioural outcomes in large, complex environments.
Significant experience managing multiple concurrent programs or strategic initiatives with strong attention to quality, pace and delivery.
Strong data-driven capability, including experience applying behaviour-change models to analyse insights and design evidence-based interventions.
Demonstrated success leading and developing a team in a collaborative, outcomes-focused environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex concepts clear, meaningful and engaging for different audiences.
Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the confidence to work effectively with senior leaders.
High level digital capability, including experience with M365, survey tools and basic design or video editing tools. Experience in cyber security, human-centred security practices or higher education will be highly regarded.
