    The Opportunity
    The Education Equity and Compliance Support Officer have a key role within the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in supporting the fair, timely and consistent implementation of approved Special Consideration outcomes and Equitable Learning Plan (ELP) adjustments across coursework teaching and assessment, while ensuring compliance with institutional education policies. The role will work closely with the Deputy Head of School (Education), Course Convenors, and Education Support Officers within the School, as well as specialist student support teams within the Faculty and University to translate approved education adjustments into practical course-level actions that support equity in education, maintain academic standards and align with institutional policies and local School processes.

    • Salary, Level 6: $103,866 - $110,801 per annum + 17% superannuation
    • Full time
    • Fixed-Term for 12 months
    • Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia (hybrid and on campus available)

    Skills and Experience:

    • Demonstrated experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle), Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook), and automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Power BI).
    • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures and translate decisions into clear operational guidance, workflows and local processes.
    • Knowledge of Special Consideration, equitable learning or reasonable adjustment processes, assessment administration, privacy, confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements in a higher education environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in education administration, student support, assessment operations, compliance, disability/equity services or a related higher education environment.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to provide empathetic, discreet and professional support to students and staff on sensitive matters.
    • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
