About This Opportunity
Our world-leading School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking a dynamic Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to join their dedicated Occupational Therapy teaching team. This appointment will be offered as either a Teaching-Focused or Clinical Academic role, commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and preference.
We welcome applications from qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists (those with experience in community-based practice will be highly regarded). In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a strong profile in teaching, research, service, and engagement, and expand your teaching and/ or clinical teaching impact and leadership aligned with UQ values.
A teaching-focused appointment requires excellence in teaching across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs, including course coordination, supported by a national profile in teaching impact and/or education or discipline capacity-building research. The role involves leading initiatives that enhance curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, supervising higher degree students to completion, and driving program and curriculum development. It also requires strong internal service and mentoring contributions, and active external engagement, with leadership and influence extending to national level and progressing towards an international level at Academic Level D.
A clinical academic appointment requires an established profile in clinical teaching, supported by strong industry expertise and innovative clinical practice. Candidates will demonstrate a track record of clinical research and engagement and leadership of clinical service provision, alongside high‑quality teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and/or professional programs. The role includes leading course coordination, curriculum design and program development, as well as supervising students in clinical practice. It also requires meaningful internal service and external engagement, with leadership, influence and impact progressing from national to international level at Academic Level D.
