    Job Description:

    A Student Representative (DIAP) involves representing student voices on disability inclusion by contributing meaningful feedback and suggestions for improvement on Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) implementation. It includes attending meetings, collaborating with staff and students, and engaging with student groups to ensure inclusive discussions.

    This role will:

    • Represent student voices on disability inclusion at UNSW.

    • Attend meetings, contribute insights and share student experiences.

    • Share outcomes from meetings with student groups, where appropriate, and maintain confidentiality where required.

    • Seek feedback from, undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree research students (as relevant) and represent the student cohort by sharing this feedback at DIAP Implementation group meetings in a collaborative, constructive and realistic way.

    • Align with and actively demonstrate the UNSW Values in Action: Our Behaviours and the UNSW Code of Conduct.

    • Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.

    A person engaged is generally expected to have the following skills and experience:

    • Current UNSW student

    • Interest in working collaboratively with Inclusive Communities and the DIAP Implementation Group to advance disability inclusion projects and initiatives at UNSW.

    • Good communication, teamwork and collaboration skills.

    • Competent organisational and time management skills.

    • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
