    The University of Western Australia Day Hospital (UWADH) delivers high-quality, patient-centred surgical services within a specialist academic health environment.

    Focused on foot and ankle surgical care, the service provides a unique setting where clinical excellence meets education, supporting both patient outcomes and the development of future surgical professionals.

    You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary perioperative team committed to safety, innovation and best practice across the surgical journey.

    About the opportunity

    We are seeking experienced Perioperative Nurses to join UWADH on a casual basis, offering flexible shifts.

    This opportunity is ideal for nurses who thrive in a high-performing surgical environment and are looking for flexibility in their working arrangements.

    You will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality care across a range of perioperative settings, including:

    • Pre-admission, admission and discharge
    • Scrub/Scout roles
    • Recovery / Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
    • Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetic teams and allied health professionals, you will play a key role in supporting positive patient outcomes and seamless surgical care.

    About you

    To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

    Essential:

    • Current registration as a Registered Nurse
    • Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • National Police Clearance
    • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
    • Demonstrated perioperative nursing experience
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team
    • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
    • Commitment to patient safety, clinical governance and quality care
    • Flexibility to work a range of shifts in a casual capacity

    Desirable:

    • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing
    • Experience across multiple perioperative specialties
    • Advanced Life Support (ALS1) certification
