The Digital Services Directorate leads the planning, development, and improvement of CQUniversity’s enterprise systems, supporting teaching, learning, research, and corporate services across a diverse organisation. Our teams provide expert advice and delivery support, with a strong focus on user experience, business outcomes, and successful digital change.
We’re seeking an experienced Project Coordinator who thrives in complex environments and brings a strong focus on delivery, stakeholder engagement, and change. You will coordinate medium to large projects across the University, working closely with project managers, business leaders, and delivery teams to ensure initiatives are well planned, governed, and successfully adopted. This role suits someone who operates with autonomy, exercises sound judgement, and enjoys influencing outcomes through strong communication, structure, and collaboration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate medium to large projects, including planning, scheduling, dependencies, risks and reporting
- Support Project Managers to deliver milestones, manage issues and maintain momentum
- Lead project and program level communications and change activities
- Develop and coordinate change impact assessments, communication and engagement plans
- Facilitate workshops, forums and governance meetings
- Produce high quality project documentation, reports and communications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project and change practices
- Provide guidance and coaching to project support staff

Position Requirements
Essential
- Demonstrated experience coordinating medium to large projects in a complex organisation
- Strong understanding of project management and delivery methodologies
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, communication and change coordination
- High‑level written communication skills, including reports and project documentation
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate with autonomy
- Relevant degree with substantial subsequent experience, or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Project Management and/or Change Management certification
- Experience working in higher education or large public sector environments
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools (e.g. MS Teams, Jira, Confluence)
