    • Part-time (60% FTE), fixed-term position for 2.5 years

    • Base salary will range from $83,698 – $111,431 (Academic Level A) + 17% Superannuation

    • Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus

    About This Opportunity

    We are seeking a passionate and driven Postdoctoral Research Fellow to play a key role in a collaborative and multidisciplinary research initiative spanning five major Australian universities, working in partnership with UniSuper. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful, real-world research focused on improving retirement readiness and strategies for Australians, including development of retirement case studies and retirement-focused inventories.

    Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Research:

    • Conduct and analyse qualitative interviews with retirement advisors and pre- and post-retirees

    • Analyse quantitative survey data and support translation of findings into practical guidelines

    • Produce high-quality research outputs through publications in respected outlets

    • Contribute to applications for competitive research funding and collaborative projects

    Supervision and Researcher Development:

    • Contribute to supervision of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students

    • Participate in professional development opportunities including conferences

    Citizenship and Service:

    • Collaborate with colleagues, contributing to a culture of excellence and inclusivity

    • Support administrative and service activities within the School and broader community

    • Develop emerging external partnerships with industry and professional bodies

    About You

    • Completion of a PhD in Psychology

    • Demonstrated experience in qualitative interviewing and analyses

    • Experience working with older adult populations

    • Evidence of an emerging research profile, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research findings at academic conferences

    • Demonstrated contributions towards securing or supporting external research funding

    • Experience contributing to internal service roles and external engagement activities
