- Full-time continuing position and 1-year fixed term contract
- Salary Range: $92,511 - $99,929 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

This role will provide holistic support to First Nations students, deliver culturally safe services, and builds strong relationships with students, communities, and stakeholders to empower First Nations students to thrive.

Work that matters
As a First Nations Student Support Officer, you will help deliver tailored support services that address the personal cultural academic and wellbeing needs of First Nations students. You will coordinate programs, and activities, assist with referrals to internal and external services, and provide and overall safe and inclusive environment.

This role works closely with First Nations students, Staff within the Student Wellbeing and Safety Sub-Function, Deputy Vice Chancellor – Indigenous, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations, and Government and non-government agencies

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience delivering support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students or communities
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong networks with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations
- Experience in planning and delivering programs and activities that engage and support students
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide culturally responsive support and contribute to a positive team environment
- Experience using digital tools and information systems for student support and data management
- Experience in case management, record keeping, and data/reporting
- Experience supporting or coordinating specific student programs or events
