    We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised administrator to join the Division of Sciences. Based in a shared office, you will provide vital administrative support to the Departments of Chemistry, Human Nutrition and Food Science. Join us in enabling world-class research and fostering an exceptional learning environment for our students.

    Key tasks of both roles include:
    • Providing administration support to academic and professional staff.
    • Responding to student or visitor enquiries.
    • Coordinating local administration processes such as recruitment, induction, and teaching administration support.
    • Collating and distributing student exam results.
    • Maintaining timetable information.
    • Planning and logistics for travel.
    • Meeting support.
    • Financial tasks including purchase card reconciliation, reimbursements, purchasing and invoicing.

You will join a friendly and support wider team of administrators in the Division of Sciences, where your relationship building skills will be key to your success.

    Divisional Services and Administration are a group of highly skilled professional staff responsible for delivering an outstanding student and staff experience through high quality, effective service delivery to all of the University’s internal and external customers.

    This is a permanent, part time (26.25 hours) position available, based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.

    Although we can often be flexible with hours, we are looking for somebody who is able to work Monday to Friday.

    The appointment range for this role is $63,508 to $68,185. Top of Range $73,640 (pro-rata).

    We are also seeking candidates for Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions, which support the implementation of our Māori Strategic Framework. If you are interested in these positions, there will be an opportunity to tell us how you could contribute to a culture of whakawhanaukataka in our workplace through the application process. The appointment range for this role is $69,931 to $74,609. Top of range $80,285 (pro-rata).
