PRIMARY DETAIL

Clinical research governance and regulatory support for MQ Health and Macquarie University

  • Salary Package: HEW 5 circa $83,580 (negotiable) per annum, plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading

  • Appointment Type: Full time, one year fixed-term

  • Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)

The Role

This role provides essential administrative support for the clinical research team, managing the receipt, processing, and compliance review of clinical research governance applications. The position liaises with researchers, clinicians, and other staff, offering information and guidance on applications. The position handles invoicing for the team, assists with drafting reports and providing committee secretarial support. The role will involve updating information on internal platforms and support process improvement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders.

About You

Ideally you have experience in a similar role with knowledge of the regulatory framework underpinning clinical research, including the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Research Governance Handbook and Therapeutic Goods legislation. You will have acquired this experience within a university, hospital, clinical, or government research environment. You will have experience providing information and straightforward advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.   • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in medical science, or a relevant field and/or significant relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework underpinning clinical research, including the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Therapeutic Goods legislation, Good Clinical Practice.

  • Experience providing administrative support, project support and formal reporting

  • Experience providing information and straightforward advice on regulatory frameworks and relevant policies in a research management environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including delivering to tight deadlines
