Job Description:

PRIMARY DETAIL

• Gymnastics Australia qualified with a passion for gymnastics
• Based on the Macquarie University Campus
• Continuing, Part Time role (19 hours per week) 

Play a key role in the design and delivery of progressive lesson plans for recreation and Team Gym programs. Work with a team of coaches to encourage participation in gymnastics.

Campus Life is currently seeking a Gymnastics Supervisor to join the Macquarie University Sports and Aquatics Centre (MUSAC) team. Reporting to the Gymnastics Coordinator, the Gymnastics Supervisor is responsible for day to day running of the Gymnastics program. 
 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Supervise and ensure the smooth delivery of Gymnastics lessons being conducted whilst maintaining a maximum level of customer service to parents and gymnasts. 
  • Identify and resolve complaints and situations using a range of problem-solving and decision-making tools. Resolve in a timely and respectful manner. 
  • Assist in developing and fostering strategies to improve the gymnastics program promoting retention and growth. 
  • Assist the Gymnastics Coordinator with general management of the programs including rostering, timetabling, creation of lesson plans and responding to enquiries

Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre (MUSAC) is a multi-purpose venue designed to help meet all the health, fitness and sporting needs of our members and guests. Our facilities include a 6-lane heated indoor pool, and an 8-lane outdoor heated Olympic-sized swimming pool. The Centre features a fully equipped health club, group and virtual fitness classes, squash courts, gymnastics / aquatics programs and social sports.

ABOUT YOU 

You have a customer centric mindset combined with a passion for gymnastics and teaching. You have the ability to work well in a team environment, as well as the initiative to work independently. 

Skills & experience:

  • Intermediate Gymnastics Australia Accreditation (or above) 
  • Gymnastics Supervisor Qualification 
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, and complaints handling 
  • Experience working with a range of participants 
  • First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain) 
  • NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
