  • $131,671 to $151,624 per annum (Level C)
  • $158,269 to $174,225 per annum (Level D)
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation

About the role

As a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Biomedical Science, you will join a collegial and mutually supportive School located within a rural city. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated research record in Biomedical Science, particularly as applied to medical physiology, and will contribute to and maintain or improve future ERA ratings by producing high quality publications and other research outputs. It is expected that the successful applicant would have the potential to attract competitive grant funding. A substantial part of the School’s teaching is online, within a supportive pedagogic framework for students. Within this role you will contribute to the future direction of teaching in Biomedical Science and take a key role in the continued development of the Biomedical Science discipline. The successful applicant will be expected to make a service contribution to the institution. 


About you

To be successful in this role, you will have a completed doctoral qualification in a discipline or topic relevant to Biochemistry and demonstrated school teaching experience. You will have a strong research contribution to the field, with evidence of capacity to build and maintain research networks, and skills in mentoring and supporting early career academics and higher degree research candidates.


About the School

The School of Science and Technology comprises subject disciplines including Biomedical Science, Chemistry and Physics, Exercise and Sport Science, Mathematics and Statistics and Computer Science. The School conducts teaching and research through an exciting range of undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate courses and research degrees by dissertation within these disciplines. These courses are offered via on campus and flexible online education modes. Additionally, the research performance of a number of our disciplines was assessed at 'well above world standard' in the 2018 ERA ratings for research excellence.
