PRIMARY DETAIL

This is an exciting opportunity to join a research-intensive institution as an entry level lecture.

We seek multiple research-led teachers with active research agendas focussing on publishing in ABDC A* journals.

You will join a strong team of management researchers with a record of teaching excellence, teaching three classes per academic year.

•Salary Package: from $119,840 - $141,790 (Level B) plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading
•Appointment Type: 3x full-time, continuing role
•Location: Macquarie University Wallumattagul Campus (North Ryde, Sydney)

This role is open to all areas of management.

THE ROLE

The Lecturer in Management will have scholarly expertise in at least one subfield of management, including entrepreneurship, human resource management, international business, operations and supply chain, organisational behaviour, or strategy. The typical teaching schedule for lecturers in this role is three classes per academic year. The successful applicant will conduct high-impact research, teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervise research students. They will make a positive contribution to the Department’s culture of collaboration and innovation, support delivery of strategic goals and enhance the reputation of the Department, School and University.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in management, a research program in a relevant area, and a track record of high-quality publications. You will have proven ability to deliver research-led, applied, and engaging educational experiences and to take a collaborative approach in the way you work with others.

  • A PhD in management or equivalent.

  • High-quality research in management as indicated by publications in high-quality, journals (Rated A* or A in the Australian Business Deans’ Council journal ranking list).
  • Record of teaching excellence and involvement in course development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated commitment to teamwork in the discipline, and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity in matters related to all academic activities.
