PRIMARY DETAIL

A fantastic opportunity for a well-organised and experienced Work Integrated Learning Team Leader to lead the coordination and delivery of student placements and work integrated learning activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

THE ROLE

  • Salary Package: From $104,726 – $113,545 p.a. (HEW 7), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

  • Appointment Type: Full time, continuing position

  • Location: Macquarie University (North Ryde)

We are seeking an experienced Work Integrated Learning Team Leader to lead the delivery of student placements and work integrated learning programs, including those embedded within accredited professional and health-related courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences.

Reporting to the Educational Services Delivery Manager and leading a team of Work integrated learning officers, Clinical School Officers and Compliance and Professional Accreditation Officers, this role will be responsible for the delivery of a diverse range of work-integrated learning for students including clinical placements, internships, student volunteering, work placements and Co-op programs. The role will be responsible for the smooth delivery of placement activities, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory regulations as well as fostering positive relationships with internal, external stakeholders and placement partners.

You will have an exceptional knowledge of and proven leadership expertise in the delivery of student placements and work integrated learning programmes in a higher education or similar setting.  Your experience and success in managing a team in a complex environment, focus on delivering high quality and timely advice and ability to provide direction and encourage a collaborative, cooperative and service-oriented work environment will ensure your success in this role.

  • Tertiary qualification in business, management, or related discipline.

  • Demonstrated  knowledge and expertise of student placements and work integrated learning programmes, including accredited professional and/or health related courses.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing student placements, including managing the review and improvement to systems, processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Proven experience and success in managing a team in a complex environment, with a focus on delivering high quality and timely advice.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing stakeholders in sometimes difficult and complex clinical environments.

  • Proven ability to provide leadership and direction and encourage a collaborative, cooperative and service-oriented work environment.

  • Ability to develop and manage effective working relationships, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
