PRIMARY DETAIL
• Appointment Type: Casual• Location: Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.
THE ROLE
This expression of interest is for Macquarie University students who have been directly approached by the Accessibility Service.
Notes are not expected to be verbatim, however should be comprehensive and note takers are expected to upload electronic copies their notes to the Accessibility Service’s ACCESS portal within 48 hours of the class finishing. It is expected note-takers will be available throughout the entire length of the session and complete an online training course on taking quality notes to ensure they meet the requirements of the recipients.
Peer Note takers are paid $37.05 per hour (HEW 1 - hourly rate listed includes 25% casual loading). It is important to note this work is casual in nature and requirements for note takers will change from session to session based on student enrolments.

The Accessibility Service is dedicated to providing students with a disability, health condition and/or carers of people with a disability with appropriate assistance, support and services to access their studies.
Disability practitioners and support staff work closely with other key departments within the University to implement reasonable adjustments and to raise awareness and understanding of disability issues with all students and staff.
