Why your role matters
The Event Coordinator, Graduations plays an important role within the Registrar & Student Services team, supporting the planning and delivery of graduation ceremonies and related events. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic and highly organised event professional who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering memorable experiences.
Working closely with senior team members and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, the Event Coordinator will help ensure graduation events are delivered smoothly, professionally and in line with the strategic priorities of the Division of Education & Student Experience.
The role reports to the Event Manager and has no direct reports.
Specific accountabilities include:
Assist in the event planning, coordination and delivery of graduation related events and ceremonies.
Assist in the development and implementation of event plans and documentation for graduation related events and ceremonies, providing support in shaping policies and procedures under the guidance of senior team members.
Provide effective advice and best practice recommendations relating to event production, processes, policy and activities.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to deliver services for graduation events whilst assisting with budget management.
About You:
Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated experience in the coordination and planning of events, providing effective customer service and stakeholder management.
Excellent time management, accuracy, attention to detail, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to exercise initiative, think creatively and adopt an active approach to problem-solving.
Excellent skills in the use of standard office desktop software such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet applications for researching and preparing reports, statistics and other documents.
Ability to make sound judgements and work both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.

The Student Success Administrator & Receptionist Administrator (Student Reception) plays a key role in delivering high-quality administrative support and exceptional customer service within the Nura Gili Centre for Indigenous Programs. As the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, this position is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional reception environment while managing enquiries, assessing requests and correspondence, and directing matters to the appropriate teams.
The role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administrative operations that support the Nura Gili Indigenous Student Success Team, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively to meet the Centre’s operational requirements. Working in a dynamic and student-focused environment, the successful candidate will contribute to enhancing the student experience through responsive service delivery, strong organisational skills and effective stakeholder engagement.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Nura Gili, the position also provides administrative support to the Director, Nura Gili. This role has no direct reports.
Specific accountabilities include:
Contribute to a positive and dynamic Nura Gili community, informed by culturally affirming values, experiences and shared aspirations, by creating a welcoming space, maintaining effective channels of communication, and responding to urgent and often sensitive matters appropriately.
Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and respond to a range of in-person, telephone and email enquiries by prioritising requests and correspondence, then actioning or escalating as necessary.
Provide high-level administrative support to the Indigenous Student Success Team and oversee day-to-day administrative operations, supporting other Nura Gili teams as required.
Provide effective specialist advice relating to administrative guidelines, processes and activities.
Develop and maintain detailed filing systems, spreadsheets, databases, websites and other administrative systems.

The Technical Assistant (Casual) provides operational and technical support to ensure the effective day-to-day functioning of simulation teaching and learning environments within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

About the position
The Research Officer (Qualitative Research) will play a key role in project management, including the design, coordination and implementation of the qualitative components of the project which focus on school-based case studies and stakeholder co-design through Social Labs.
The position supports La Trobe University’s strategic priorities in education research, social justice, and community-engaged scholarship, and provides opportunities for research capacity building through collaboration with a national and international research team.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
A graduate degree in Education, or a doctoral degree.
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to coordinate research activities across multiple sites, manage timelines, and support delivery of project milestones.
Evidence of experience in qualitative research and the ability to work effectively under limited supervision or independently.
A record of contribution to publications, conference papers and/or reports demonstrating research potential.
