The College of Medicine and Dentistry is looking to appoint to a series of exciting, newly established clinical academic positions in Clinical Dentistry, offering a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute substantially to the future development of Dentistry and Oral Health Science at James Cook University.

What you can accomplish at JCU
Based at our state-of-the-art clinical teaching facilities in Cairns, we offer positions at Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor levels, dependent upon qualifications and experience. Reporting to the Head of Dentistry, Professor Peter Thomson, you will teach in both General and Specialist Dentistry and will have unique opportunities to help design, implement and deliver high-quality teaching of Clinical Dentistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You may also develop specific clinical and teaching responsibilities in aspects of the curriculum relevant to your special interests. Contributing to supervision and assessment of student Dental Practitioners performing general dental care for patients, you will also be encouraged to be actively involved in the academic life of the College of Medicine and Dentistry and will have extensive opportunities to participate in collaborative research and innovation both nationally and internationally within the College and Division.
