In the wake of COVID-19, we've already seen swathes of Casual and Temporary staff cut from some universities, with more to come throughout 2020 & 2021. In addition, due to the economic challenges being faced, there are also ongoing restructures and redundancies, both voluntary and forced, currently underway.
The entire sector faces the risk of having lost/losing workers with much needed skills to the private sector over the coming months & years. Some of these may never return to the HE sector, leaving a hole in the knowledge economy for many institutions.

We’re aiming to provide a long-term connection to HE employers for HE workers. We’ll also provide options for HE workers to return to the HE sector as and when their skills are required again.
