A Brisbane student is facing a series of criminal charges after allegedly hacking into the University of Queensland's (UQ) electronic marking system to improve his grades.
The university said it noticed an inconsistency in the system and referred the case to the Queensland Police Service.
The male student has been charged with 14 offences including forgery, stealing and impersonation.
He is due to face court next week.
In a statement, UQ said cheating was an "extremely serious matter" and they have "comprehensive policies to detect and deal with cheats".
