About the opportunityThe Organisational Development team is part of the broader People and Culture team at Southern Cross University. We are focussed on building organisational capability, enhancing culture, and driving employee engagement to support the university’s strategic goals. Working collaboratively with teams and leaders, the team deliver innovative, evidence-based solutions that empower staff and leaders, strengthen connections, encourage innovation and create opportunities for excellence.
Primary Purpose of the RoleThe Organisational Development Consultant plays a critical role in designing, facilitating, and delivering professional development and organisational initiatives. The focus is on building capability, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a positive organisational culture. The role involves working closely with leaders and teams to implement creative and practical solutions that support change, improving team dynamics, and building long-term capability across the university.

- Creative problem-solving: Design and deliver innovative professional development programs, workshops and experiences.
- Strategic influence: Partner with senior leaders to drive cultural change and build organisational capacity.

- Supportive leadership: Work with a manager who is invested in your growth and plays to your strengths.
You are motivated and skilled in enabling people to lead organisational change, enhancing capability, and fostering a positive culture.
You will have:
- Relevant qualifications, certifications and/or extensive experience in Organisational Development or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and facilitating impactful professional development programs and workshops.
- Confidence in engaging with executives and senior leaders in a variety of contexts.
- Proven success in leading Organisational Development projects with measurable and meaningful outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence positive change and connect with diverse stakeholders.

- Full-time continuing (permanent) position.
- Located at either Lismore, NSW 2480 or Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 8. The base salary ranges from $116,672 - $128,651 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $150,522.
