Digital Technical Officer (Faculty of Medicine & Health)
- Employment Type: Part - time (17.5 hours a week)

- Remuneration: $85,717 base prorated (+ 17% Super, leave loading)

UNSW Medicine & Health is a national leader in learning, teaching and research, with close affiliations to several of Australia’s finest hospitals, research institutes and health care organisations. With a strong presence at UNSW Kensington campus, the faculty have staff and students in teaching hospitals in Sydney as well as regional and rural areas of NSW including Albury/Wodonga, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
Why this role matters
The Digital Technical Officer is responsible for delivering automation across processes used by the Medicine & Health Research Infrastructure and Operational Services (MEDRIOS) team. This will include supporting process improvements and identifying innovative ways to enhance and automate these processes. Also working collaboratively with the MEDRIOS team to identify and implement solutions for successful outcomes. Other responsibilities will include developing guides, documentation and reports including educational online self-led training tools and delivering training to MEDROS team to support end-users.
Some key skills required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Comprehensive and demonstrated experience in the Microsoft 365 Power suite of apps. MS Power Platform systems. Power Bl, Power Apps, Power Automate
- Proven implementation and demonstrated experience of automation for simplification of processes. Willingness to self-learn and self-develop in the automation landscape, as required.
- Fundamental and basic project management skills.
- Technical knowledge of machine and equipment upkeep and maintenance.
- Experience in training teams in digital applications and workflows.
