The School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences is seeking an engaging and experienced Medical Laboratory Science academic who is passionate about shaping the next generation of health professionals. Lead students in mastering core concepts in Anatomical Pathology and related disciplines, equipping them for impactful clinical placements and meaningful careers.
Your expertise will foster strong collaboration with employers, placement providers, and professional bodies, ensuring the program exceeds accreditation standards and evolves with industry needs. Beyond teaching, you’ll guide honours and postgraduate students, contribute to innovative research, and drive the development of cutting-edge course materials within the School.

Position Requirements
- A tertiary qualification relevant to Medical Laboratory Science.
- Eligibility for professional membership with a relevant professional body, e.g. AIMS.
- Knowledge of Medical Laboratory Science education and training, especially as practised in diagnostic pathology laboratories.
- Proven experience to engage with students or junior staff and support their educational development through multi-modal delivery strategies.
- Recent significant post-graduate experience in NATA accredited diagnostic pathology laboratory in Anatomical Pathology.
- Knowledge and application of instrumentation and equipment used in the Anatomical Pathology laboratory.
