About the opportunity

Southern Cross University’s National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine is seeking a Clinical Trials Research Fellow to support the Centre by contributing to clinical trial research activities, and support funding applications. This role is integral to advancing the Centre’s mission of evidence-based research in naturopathic medicine. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct background medical research and develop trial protocols, HREC applications, budgets, and documentation.
  • Collaborate on clinical trial activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and successful project outcomes
  • Prepare reports, publications, and presentations to disseminate research findings
  • Assist in securing commercial and grant funding for clinical trial research
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, professional bodies, and the community
About you

You will be an experienced clinical trial researcher, particularly within naturopathy or a related area, with a strong background in designing and managing clinical studies. Your expertise in regulatory compliance, stakeholder collaboration, and securing research funding will position you as a valuable contributor to the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine. More specifically, you will have:

  • A PhD in a health related field together with professional experience in clinical trial systems, protocol and budget development, project and trial management. Where a candidate does not have a PhD, the Centre is supportive of candidates to undertake a PhD
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrable success identifying and working consultatively with various and diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to publish high-quality research and present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in student-centered teaching practices and curriculum development.
Salary and benefits

  • Full-time, fixed term (3 years)
  • Located at Lismore, NSW 2480, with flexible or remote work options for the right candidate. Generous relocation support available.
  • Academic Level B or C. The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
    • The base salary for Academic Level B ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
    • The base salary for Academic Level C ranges from $134,848 - $155,046 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $ 181,404.
