CQUniversity is seeking a visionary leader with a passion for advancing research excellence to join and lead our Office of Research. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Research, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the effective management of our research activities.
In this prestigious role, you will drive the strategic vision for our research initiatives, ensuring excellence in research support services and compliance with national and international standards, whilst leading a dedicated team, managing significant resources, and fostering a culture of innovation and integrity. As Director, your expertise will be pivotal in securing research funding, enhancing research capabilities, and promoting impactful research outcomes.
With your extensive experience and profound understanding of the higher education research landscape, you will provide high-level policy advice and drive continuous improvement in research support services. Join us in this influential role and make a transformative impact on our research community.

Position Requirements
- A deep understanding of current higher education legislative, policy, compliance and funding environment, with particular reference to research funding mechanisms, project management, data requirements, governance and ethics and integrity.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area, and extensive senior management experience and/or equivalent education and training.
- Demonstrated values-led leadership experience, including demonstrated capacity to initiate, lead and manage change.
- Experience in a tertiary research management or leadership environment.
- Extensive knowledge of contract law and management as it relates to research (desirable).
