Are you passionate about creating impactful digital campaigns? James Cook University (JCU) now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Digital Marketing Advisor to join our Domestic Marketing team.

- Full time, fixed term position until September 2025 (parental leave backfill)
- Based at either our Cairns Nguma-bada campus or Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus
- $ 85,816.60- $ 92,948.21 per year plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits
ABOUT THE ROLE
Delivering expert and engaging marketing and communications services to the College of Medicine and Dentistry, you’ll contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives through the development and implementation of high impact campaigns and data-driven digital marketing tactics to expand reach and engagement. You’ll enhance the customer experience through the management of digital marketing platforms, whilst also contributing to the success of strategic projects and partnerships that increase awareness of the University’s medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and rural health programs.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree qualifications and experience or significant related experience combined with a combination of relevant education/training and experience.
- Experience in developing and delivering effective campaigns and projects on time that meet client requirements and grow engagement on digital marketing platforms.
- Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to maintain working relationships, including demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with varying levels of stakeholders to achieve outcomes for the organisation.
- Effective computer literacy and a demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and utilise a range of data to review and evaluate the strategic achievements of a project or event.
- Demonstrated understanding of the higher education and health sectors and how they are linked to provide research and employment opportunities.
- Significant organisational, problem solving and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines, and an established record of exercising judgement and initiative.
- Knowledge of the higher education and/or health sector (desirable).
Special Conditions
- This position may be required to travel within the region including overnight stays and perform after-hours work on occasion.
- It is a requirement of this position to hold a current Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card) and a current ‘C’ class Queensland Drivers Licence.
